My re contextualization of da Vinci´s Last Supper.
I think is one of the most complete digital works I´ve done... I mean: before this one, all of my works had started in a piece of paper, so making an all digital work was a new good experience.
Of course I´d like to make a photo session of this if I had the budget and the people... but I consider I managed a good result with the photos and elements I got... I spent some hours gathering nazi officers photos from the net and then playing with the placement to make them look coherent... like if it really had happened. Original idea was to show most representative nazi leaders but you know... is not the kind of photos you can find easily on the net, so finally I had to leave most of them out of this.
Tha same with the stuff on the table, I chose some representative things like the luger, the iron cross, the SS caps, the helmets, the Mein Kampf (the open book in front of Himmler wich is not actually a real mein kampf but stand for it) and luckily when looking for a gas mask I found that one wich fitted perfectly.
Talking about perfect fitting; I want tho thank for letting me use some of his "Eastern Front´45" photos to finish the work. Go and check them, they are great, and you´ll find out wich ones I used.
Since I couldn´t found a convincing background I used a shot of my garage, the same with the nazi flags and the floor. The rest was just some nights in front of my pc.
I think that´s all. Of course I´d love to read your comments... but remember to analyze first.
I love it. It is stepping towards the line of how far one can go, but I love it still! I wonder why no one has thought of this before, though. It seems such an obvious thing to make, now that it's first been made.

It's hard when I can't hug my imaginary friends...
I found many versions of the last supper on the net one night while looking for something different... there is a Dr.House one, a Star Wars version, and even there is one with a group of zombies devouring Jesus, great, isn´t it?... So I thought the same thing that you did... Why nobody had made this before?...

"Life is a tragedy for those who feel, but a comedy to those who think"
